Let’s get started

Everyone feels like an impostor from time to time, but for those with Impostor Syndrome, the feeling is pervasive.

What is Imposter Syndrome?

Simply, imposter syndrome is a mental pattern of self-doubt. If you suffer from it, you may have a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that if people ever looked too closely, they’d realize that you have no idea what you’re doing. You’re not qualified to write, and how dare you call yourself a coach, author, c level executive, even a CEO or CIA analyst.?

What’s even worse is that you probably agree with anyone that sees you this way. You feel like a fraud, an imposter. Here you are conducting an elaborate hoax on others and your greatest fear is that someone will pull off your intricately constructed mask and reveal your evil genius.

Perfectionists, narcissists and idealists, especially, type A personalites are most vulnerable to bouts of imposter syndrome.

Are you a Type-A or B Personality?

This type of personality concerns how people respond to stress. However, although its name implies a personality typology, it is more appropriately conceptualized as a trait continuum, with extremes Type-A and Type-B individuals on each end.

Type A

  • Competitive
  • Time Urgent
  • Hostile &/or Aggressive

Type B

  • Relaxed & Calm
  • Patient
  • Easy Going
